Tollywood Producers on Ticket Prices
Excessive ticket pricing has sparked a discussion in the film business. Following the Telangana government’s announcement of flexible ticket pricing, distributors raised prices, creating a barrier to foot traffic.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata began on a sour note in the Nizam region, owing to the exorbitant ticket prices. Several families are uninterested in seeing movies in theatres because of the exorbitant ticket prices. Several producers have convened to discuss taking action before further damage occurs.
The majority of them are opposed to high ticket prices, and several have proposed flexible ticket pricing. During the last conference, there was also discussion about price increases over the weekend and usual prices on weekdays.
In AP and Telangana, movies like F3 will be released at usual prices, with no price increases. There is no need to raise ticket rates in June and July because there are so many middle budget films. For the time being, Tollywood will not raise ticket prices in the next 3-4 months.
